We offer 4 levels of guarantee dependent upon the category of plant:

Hardy Plant Guarantee

Trees, Roses, Shrubs and Soft Fruit

3 months

Half Hardy Plant Guarantee

Herbaceous Perennials and Alpines

1 month

Bare Rooted and Rootballed Plant Guarantee

Available for planting from March to November.

1 growing season

We must be informed of any issues or failures by 1st June following the Autumn of planting.

Tender (non-hardy)

Annual bedding plants, Herbs and Vegetable plants.

Not Guaranteed

We endeavour to ensure that each and every plant is healthy and thriving at point of purchase. Once plants leave the nursery the responsibility for the aftercare becomes that of the customer.

Specific plant requirements, position, aspect, soil type, hydration is detailed on the labels and must be adhered to. Plants are living organisms are perishable and thus respond, react and adapt to the environment they are placed within.

If a plant becomes sick and develops symptoms of disease Simpson’s should be notified immediately and ideally provided with a photograph. At this point, we will suggest a course of action that will stimulate recovery. In the event of total failure and to access your guarantee, providing all of the relevant criteria have been met a replacement plant, refund or credit will be offered on production of the plant and receipt.

Items that are reduced or marked Special Offer are excluded from the guarantee.

Extreme climatic conditions, viruses, and diseases could invalidate this guarantee.

Any liability that Simpson’s are in agreeance to would only be for the value of the plant purchased. This does not affect your statutory rights.

For the purpose of this guarantee, hardy is defined as any plant that tolerates or withstands typical British temperatures or weather conditions.
